World Inequality Conference

The World Inequality Lab is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 3rd World Inequality Conference to be held at the Paris School of Economics on 4th and 5th June 2026. The conference aims to provide an international forum for researchers working on inequality and related fields, with sessions open for attendance to policy makers, journalists, and the public.
Key highlights
§ Release of the Global Justice Report: The report will explore what a just distribution of socio-economic and environmental resources could look like at the global level from 2026 to 2100
§ Keynote Sessions: Speakers will include academics, policymakers and writers.
§ Keynotes by Lucas Chancel, Co-Director of the World Inequality Lab & Camille Landais, Chairman of the Conseil d’analyse économique
§ Paper Presentations: Accepted submissions will be organized into parallel theme-wise sessions.
Paper Submissions
We welcome submissions of papers on inequality (broadly defined), with a focus on the key research areas covered by the World Inequality Lab, namely:
§ Measurement of historical income and wealth dynamics
§ Environmental inequalities
§ Global wealth distribution dynamics
§ Factors contributing to income and wealth inequality
§ Political inequalities
§ Gender inequality
§ Inequality perceptions
§ Taxation and tax evasion
§ Methodological advances in the measurement of inequalities
An author can submit multiple papers but can present only once in the conference. Please submit full papers or detailed drafts by filling out the form and uploading the paper on the following link:
