Wouter Leenders is a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on public economics, with an emphasis on tax policy, wealth inequality, and economic redistribution. He has contributed to several projects, including studies on offshore tax evasion, the effects of inheritances, and redistribution in the Netherlands. His work has been published in journals like the Journal of Public Economics.
Wouter holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge. He has served as a Research Economist at the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis and is affiliated with the Stone Center on Wealth and Income Inequality. In 2024, he lectured on the Microeconomics of Public Policy at Sciences Po.
